Like every year in December, the city centre of Orleans is transformed into Father Christmas’ village.
The 2021 Orleans Christmas market took place from Monday 29 November to Sunday 26 December.
German traditions were in the spotlight to celebrate Münster, Orleans’ twin city.
Decorations, wreaths, advent calendars… discover the Christmas atmosphere in Orleans !

Orleans in Christmas colours
The Orleans Christmas market is traditionally held in four emblematic locations in the city: Place du Martroi, Place de la République, Place de Loire, and rue Royale.
Christmas Market Place du Martroi
This market is dedicated to local creation. Find your ideas for Christmas gifts among the creations of some forty local craftsmen and women who favour the short circuit.
Take advantage of the many activities at the Christmas market in the Place du Martroi: Santa’s house, the Sapin Merveilleux merry-go-round, the Ferris wheel, photo decorations, and gourmet breaks.
Christmas market in Rue Royale and Place de la République
A more traditional market awaits you in Rue Royale and Place de la République.
Creative workshops on reuse and ecological transition, gift exhibitors, delicacies and a Christmas tree market are all on the agenda.
Christmas Market Place de Loire
The Place de Loire in Orleans is being transformed into a Christmas market dedicated to reuse, recycling, zero waste and local production.
Local craftsmen, associations, traders and producers will be presenting their creations, genuine alternatives to traditional Christmas gifts.
LIGHTS ON THE CATHEDRAL
From November to January, the Holy Cross Cathedral takes the form of a beautiful Advent calendar.
And lots of other Christmas activities throughout the city
